On June 15th, hit producer Brave Brothers was a guest on MBC’s “Golden Fishery” and revealed the story behind Son Dambi’s hit song ‘Crazy‘.
Brave Brothers started out by saying, “Son Dambi’s ‘Crazy’ was created while thinking of singer Uhm Jung Hwa. At first I gave Son Dambi the song ‘Bad Boy‘, and ‘Crazy’ had already been finished. My friend who was Lee Hyori’s producer at the time suggested that we let Lee Hyori listen to the song.“ He continued, “However, after giving it much thought, I ultimately decided to give the song to Son Dambi instead”.
MC Kang Ho Dong jokingly asked, “Was it because you were afraid that you would be overshadowed by Lee Hyori?“, and the producer caused much laughter in the studio by replying, “Maybe just a little bit?”
It’s an interesting prospect to imagine Lee Hyori performing ‘Crazy’ but the song does fit Son Dambi well, what are your thoughts?
